Derk Swade didn't come up through Nashville. No songwriter showcases, no demo rounds, no decade of playing dive bars for twenty people and a jukebox. His debut album, Rulebreaker (2026), is sixteen tracks of unapologetic country soul — part honky tonk confession, part open-road defiance, part 2am last call. From the slow-burn heartbreak of “Harden My Heart Like A Stone” to the high-attitude swagger of “I'm An Outlaw,” Swade writes like a man who's made peace with burning bridges.
